The accused Baba Ram Rahim, who is involved in heinous crimes such as rape and murder, is kept outside prison more than inside. This is facilitated by collusion between politicians and officials, who are rewarded in return. For instance, the jailer who flouted all rules to keep Baba out of jail was rewarded with BJP membership. Whenever Baba is granted parole, elections are often taking place in Haryana or its neighboring states. For example, during the Punjab Assembly elections, Baba was out of jail; during the Haryana Municipal Elections, Baba was out; during the by-election for the Adampur seat in Haryana, Baba was out; during Haryana Panchayat Elections, Baba was out; during the Rajasthan Assembly elections, Baba was out; during the national Lok Sabha elections, Baba was out; and now, with the Haryana Assembly elections, Baba is once again out of jail. The question is, what benefit does the government gain from Baba being out of jail? And how does Baba repeatedly receive parole despite being involved in such serious crimes? Who has assisted the government in this? Also, are the executive and judiciary functioning independently or under some pressure?
